Following this historic act the Assembly called upon all Member countries to publicize the text of the <em>Declaration<\/em> and \u201cto cause it to be disseminated, displayed, read and expounded principally in schools and other educational institutions, without distinction based on the political status of countries or territories.\u201d Today, as we approach the 60th anniversary of that momentous occasion, less than 5% of the world\u2019s population even knows that the <em>Declaration<\/em> exists.
