I was delighted to be able to take in an exhibition of 60 working wooden models of Leonardo\u2019s inventions (faithfully recreated from his drawings by a team of skilled Florentine artisans) while visiting <a href=\"http:\/\/www.robertlpeters.com\/news\/?p=1053\" target=\"_blank\">Wellington<\/a>, New Zealand last November; the <em>Leonardo da Vinci Machines Exhibition<\/em>. So it was with great pleasure that I came across a post by Carleton Wilson re: the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.universalleonardo.org\/\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Universal Leonardo<\/em><\/a> website, as inspiring and comprehensive an online resource regarding the great Italian master as the title would suggest\u2014and definitely worth exploring.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #999999;\"><em>Images of inventions from the <a style=\"color: #999999;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.universalleonardo.org\/gallery.php?type=410&amp;skip=0\" target=\"_blank\">\u2018Browse\u2019<\/a> section of the website: Leonardo\u2019s self-propelled cart, flying machine, and giant crossbow.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>London, U.K. It\u2019s hard not to be inspired by da Vinci\u2014his sheer genius is undeniable.
