I recited this poem by <span style=\"color: #999999;\"><a style=\"color: #999999;\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/John_Donne\" target=\"_blank\">John Donne<\/a><\/span> as the core of my address. I still feel the piece expresses deep empathy and humanity, welcome traits\u00a0in a world that seems to skew increasingly isolationist and echoes with ever-louder, exclusionary nationalism.
