For nearly 20 years, I was a foreign feature correspondent for Communication Arts magazine (CA), reporting on international design congresses (e.g. in Lisbon, Uruguay, Sydney, Seoul, and Copenhagen) and creating numerous in-depth feature pieces on design and visual culture in countries around the globe. In addition, I wrote occasional opinion pieces and book reviews at the magazine’s request.

Communication Arts is the largest international trade journal of visual communications, founded in 1959, and was the first U.S. magazine to be printed by offset lithography. CA is published bi-monthly, with an estimated worldwide readership of +/- 200,000 per issue.
